Robert M. Lewen, M.D. is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Diseases and Surgery of the Retina and Vitreous. He earned his M.D. from Chicago Medical School in 1980. Prior to his arrival at Allegheny General Hospital in 1989, Dr. Lewen was Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of the Retina Service at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
